about
Inspired by lived experience, the Foundation is created by Madiha Sajid to promote mental health, gender equality and women’s empowerment in a new age using timeless evidence-based activities.
Sometimes it’s okay if all you did today was breathe.
Life can seem overwhelming or even empty at times. In any year, 1 in 5 Canadians will personally face a mental health issue or illness. Trauma is also far more common than we might assume. In one study, 76% of Canadians reported that they had experienced at least one traumatic event.

Despite the above, people do recover. It is well known that with the right support, a person can start to turn their days around and in time, heal from almost anything. The first step is often reaching out yourself to start the journey and the Foundation is here to be a part of that.

Madiha has started writing about her personal journey and continues to be an advocate for social issues.
She holds an M.A. and a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
